The Board of Directors
The Yale Debate Association is a student-run organization. Every December, the team’s members elect five members to the Board of Directors. The Board comprises the President, the Membership Director, the Development Director, the Treasurer, and the Tournament Coordinator.
Justin Kim
President
Justin (he/him) is a junior in Hopper College, double majoring in Economics and History. Born in Chicago—where he broke his hospital’s record as its heaviest baby—he was raised in Hong Kong. Outside of the YDA, he leads Yale Alternative Investments, conducts research for the Yale Program on Financial Stability, serves as a practice player for the Yale Women’s Varsity Basketball Team, and is a senator on the Yale College Council. Zander Jeinthanuttkanont
Membership Director

Mirabel Raphael
Development Director
Mirabel (she/her) is a sophomore in Benjamin Franklin College majoring in East Asian Studies and Economics. She is from Claremont, California, and maintains a staunch Southern Californian love of hiking, swimming, and fresh fruit. Caleb Loh
Treasurer
Caleb (he/him) is a sophomore in Davenport College studying Comparative Literature and Global Affairs. He is from Singapore and proudly served in the Republic of Singapore Air Force for two years. Kylie Berg
Tournament Director
Kylie (she/her) is a sophomore in Ezra Stiles College. She is pre-med and majoring in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry (and maybe also History). Outside of the YDA, she’s a FOOT leader and sings in the Glee Club. Kylie is from Boulder, Colorado, and enjoys many Colorado activities like skiing, rock climbing and camping/hiking.
